Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do is a traditional form of Japanese Karate that provides physical fitness and self defence to people of all ages and abilities.
Our training teaches karate through kihon (basics/fundamentals) kata (pre-arranged forms) and kumite (pre-arranged & free sparring). With a progressive syllabus, we introduce students to the principles of karate and stand-up fighting, rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and serious training.

Our Training
We offer full-contact, semi-contact and non-contact training for people from all walks of life. Each student’s development is bespoke to their individual needs.
All styles and experience levels are welcome. Previous martial arts experience not necessary.
Our Philosophy
Our School is founded on three fundamental principles.
Jin (湛) “Profound” – Through dedicated and consistent training of the body, mind and spirit we are able to appreciate the people and things around us in a more meaningful way.
Sei (省) “Reflection” – When we spend time to self-reflect with the intent to improve, we can overcome personal difficulties and achieve great things.
Ryu (流) “Style” – Our personalised development framework and teaching approaches encourage students to grow at their own pace. As knowledge and positive energy “flows” between teachers and students, we collectively grow as a community.
